THE CASTILLA Y LEÓN THEATER FAIR: MAKING THE SMALL BIG

The Castilla y León Theater Fair celebrates its 26th edition from August 22 to 26, always seeking new complicities and facing new challenges.

Theater Fairs in our country are becoming increasingly accentuated, in meeting points for the profession, in essential moments where to be able to dialogue, know, exchange, discover, promote, and of course commercialize performing arts shows . Every year Ciudad Rodrigo becomes an essential meeting place for buyers and sellers, offering the possibility of meeting forty shows live and in person over just over four days, in a commercial event in which each edition is held more than two hundred different professional entities accredit.

The Castilla y León Theater Fair has been configured as a solid, accredited and profitable cultural project, which treasures a multidisciplinary programming, in which all formats and stage genres have room, for all types of audiences and in various spaces . The program, with special attention to productions from the West Peninsular, takes place in a dozen different spaces

Creative talent, risk in the exhibition and the professional stage market make up a fundamental shortlist for the sector, making a selection of shows marked by the quality, novelty and social relevance of the shows. The variety and diversity, therefore, both creative and market, are one of the main characteristics of this Performing Arts Fair.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Junta de Castilla y León promotes the organization of the Theater Fair in alliance with the City Council of Ciudad Rodrigo, the Provincial Council of Salamanca and the Civitas Association; persevering in the promotion strategies of the performing arts of the western peninsula. At the gates of the twenty-fifth anniversary, the Fair contributes energy to the revitalization of the scenic fabric of the Iberian Peninsula and contributes to revalue the entire territory of Castilla y León.
